Here's the double page spread for the Valkyries in the next RedSnow magazine. Well, one version of it, anyway! I'm still going to attempt a detailed version of this, though since it's going to be A5 in size (each page) eventually, this version will probably have more impact.
Anyway, here we see an unfortunate warrior on the verge of dying, and the Valkyries are getting ready to take him to Valhalla.
I think these are well cool Makes me well jealous!! It's all very striking and effective, grabs your attention immediately. I hate to sound like a tutor, but I atill think if you do a detailed version, this one will be the most attention-grabbing...
Suggestion would be to try a red border round the image on the left. And I still think that image should be flipped horizontally
Nice to see that you didn't reuse the border from one picture on the other (I would have done )Love the character underneath all the hair with the feline-like pose.
Thanks Lady T! Pffft, don't be jealous, I've seen your page, and I think it looks excellent. I know what you mean, shall have to see...Ooo yes that's an idea! I'll have a go. Flipped? What, all of it?
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
