An image from my final major project at uni - this is the second part, in which I've layed an acetate sheet over the top of my original image. I wanted to show the same person, but make them look bizarre and out of the ordinary (it's actually part of a catalogue for a fancy-dress shop :D)

Here's a happy family! I didn't want to dress-up the adults, as I thought it'd be more entertaining for the kids to show their 'true nature'. ;) You can't see it here, but the kids faces on the original gouache painting are quite innocent looking, so I wanted that to go against their evil alter-egos. Bless 'em. :D

:D I'd love to! Only problem is that I can't sew or make things to save my life! I remember my textiles teacher saying to me when I was 12 "I love your designs Astrid, but I've never seen such terrible sewing!" and I agree. ;D Thankyou!

tutors are always so nice... my tutor likes my teaset of the mome, but she always says bad craftsmanship.... shoddy pah!

well i duno, shes really nice for a tutor - very friendly n all, but very very honest with work - and she likes good finishes and stuff. i like putting huge handles on cups and she like tiny little ones u cant get a finger thru! plus i like putting the glazes on with a brush so its thicker and thinner and stuff, and she likes it all neat and tidy type thing. :S

Sounds a bit like Wendy then! This is why I think art is impossible to mark - it all comes down to preferences. What she likes, other people hate and vice versa.
